Evan received his BBus(Accy) and MBA degrees from Queensland University of Technology and a GradDip of Strategic Marketing from Charles Sturt University. He has had a successful career in senior leadership roles in multinational, large and small proprietary companies, in communication, manufacturing, professional services, and retail trade sectors. Evan has also owned and operated small businesses. In all leadership roles, he adheres to realistic optimism, subservience to purpose and finding order in chaos.
He has experience as an executive and non executive director in a range of companies and is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors. Evan joined The CEO Institute in September 2010.
Yvonne has had a successful career in senior leadership roles across politics, international business, as a strategic communications and public policy advisor to national and international companies. Yvonne has worked extensively with government at all levels. She joined The CEO Institute in September 2006, following experience as CEO of a major Chamber of Commerce.
The bulk of Yvonne’s career has been in public relations, where she operated her own agency for some years, and early in her career worked with The Coca-Cola company in a regional PR role.
She has experience as an executive and non executive director in a range of privately owned businesses, on a NSW Government board, and in major not for profits.
Steve began his career in education which culminated in him becoming the CEO of the Centre for Professional Excellence in Teaching, providing professional development to WA’s 30,000 teachers.
His career in the Australian Army Reserve ran parallel and he retired as a Colonel having commanded the 16th Royal Western Australia Regiment. Steve is now the director of 6 companies.
He consults to business and sport in the areas of leadership and reaching human and corporate potential. In his consulting role he has worked with the coaches and players of the West Coast Eagles since 2005, and the Club has finished second and first in that time.
Jeremy's original career was within the tourism / travel industry in New Zealand where he served for some years as Chairman of United Travel Holdings - New Zealand's largest retail travel consortium comprising 52 member companies with 124 offices throughout the country.
Jeremy moved to Australia in 1986 and commenced a career as an executive 'headhunter' and management consultant, first with Hayes Consulting and then with the Clements Group where he served for some years as General Manager before joining Speakman & Associates in 1995.
His original role with Speakman & Associates was as Group General Manager responsible for the operations of Speakman and Select Staff activities. To facilitate national expansion, Speakman & Associates merged with the international Select Appointments group in early 1998 with Jeremy taking the role of Executive Director of Speakman & Associates - later to become Tanner Menzies.
Having begun his marketing career in manufacturing and international trade, Paul went on to take up senior executive roles with National Pharmacies, the Royal Automobile Association of SA and the University of Adelaide.
He is a partner of the Adelaide-based strategic management consultancy Makrid Preiss & Associates. His role involves mentoring Chief Executive Officers, business owners and senior executives on business and people strategies. In addition Paul volunteers as a facilitator for the South Australian Young Entrepreneurs Scheme and as a judge for the Australian Institute of Management’s Excellence Awards.
Paul is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a non-executive director and advisory board member.
