28 MAY 2014: "We look at this as an exciting opportunity to help women in their journey along the executive road", says Evan Davies, national spokesperson for The CEO Institute. He continues, "through these scholarships, we will be able to promote the ability of women to achieve professional achievement in a competitive workplace".
Starting from 2015, four, 3 year scholarships will be awarded in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth with the expectation that the successful recipients will be awarded Provisional Certification as a Certified CEO, with the right to use the post nominal CCEO (prov) at the conclusion of the scholarship.
The program is popular with current participants. Adelina Carnevale, General Manager, OnSite Recruitment Pty Ltd says: "The Future CEO group is genuinely a meeting of minds. It provides a monthly open forum for discussing all attributes of business and its challenges amongst other professionals from various industries. It provides an opportunity to invest in your professional development and truly set the path to becoming a CEO. Our Chairman, Professor David Gilbert offers insight and inspiration, having previously faced most of the challenges that are brought up for discussion."
Successful applicants will be selected by a Future CEO Scholarship Panel and will be presented with their Scholarship awards at The CEO Institute Summits (State Conferences) in late January 2015.
"The CEO Institute's partnership with UNESCO's 'Malala Fund for Girls' Right to Education' serves as an important and ongoing reminder that some women around the world have to fight, sometimes with their own safety, for the basic right to education", says Esme Alfred, Certified CEO Program Director.
Existing members of the Future CEO program are eligible to apply, as well as potential new members (subject to meeting the conditions of entry).
About The CEO Institute
The CEO Institute was founded in 1992 as a peer-to-peer membership organisation for Chief Executives to connect with their peers and learn from them and in 2011 became the world’s first global certification body for CEOs. With more than 1,000 members, it is Australia’s leading executive membership organisation for CEOs and senior executives who want to be better informed, more efficient business leaders. The CEO Syndicate®, the flagship program of The CEO Institute, is an exclusive peer support network for CEOs and business leaders. It offers experiential learning and mutual group mentoring. Each month, peer group syndicates of about 16 CEOs and senior executives from non-competing organisations meet for problem solving, knowledge sharing and mutual support through informal discussion. Membership of The CEO Institute is by invitation only.
